About Daredevil Tattoo
Daredevil Tattoo opened in 1997, the year New York City lifted its ban on tattooing after 36 years, and sits in the Lower East Side. Several artists work in different styles, with traditional tattoos, fine line work and custom designs all part of the mix, and clients can bring their own design or have an artist draw one. Walk-ins are welcome first come, first served, and online scheduling is available. A museum of tattoo history on site holds a collection of antique traditional flash, and clients can choose tattoos from that historic flash. Rated 4.8 from 167 Google reviews, 149 of them five stars and 5 one star. Founders Michelle, who began tattooing underground in 1991, and Brad, who started in St. Louis in 1986, built the shop.
